Grounds is a conceptual redesign of a USC Roski coffee shop—reimagined not as a transactional stop, but as a connective space rooted in student life. Inspired by Roski’s diverse, international community, it offers more than coffee: a place to pause, gather, and feel at home.
Software: SketchUp (modeling), Enscape (rendering), Photoshop (post-processing)
Dimensions: Tables spaced ~3.5 ft apart with 4 ft walkways to support ease of movement
Furniture & Layout: Rounded tables and cane chairs encourage small-group gathering and visual continuity

Functional Zoning: Different areas offer different energies—quiet corners, central tables, open space—letting users decide how they want to be in the room
